Apple Preservation Workshop

As fall approaches it is time to start thinking about your apple harvest and how you want to preserve them ensuring you have apples all year.  In my family, I believe we have tried nearly every way imaginable and of course, have come up with our favorites. Whether you are a novice or an experienced apple preserver there is always more to learn about extending the life of your harvest. Apples are one of my family’s favorite fruits. It is very versatile, and we use it in both savory and sweet recipes. Like most of our fresh produce, our issue has been how to preserve them in a manner that they are useful for any application. The most important thing about preserving your harvest is ensuring that the time and work you put into it doesn’t go to waste.
