Consider the big, dark red blooms to be an up-to-date version of outdoor wallpaper in an outdoor dining room. Take time for a Zen moment with walls of Aphrodite Sweetshrub to support a personal Meditation Garden. Include one of our knockout Japanese Maples as a generous focal point. Run three or more right behind your entertainment area. They can also be positioned further away, as an impactful backdrop for a curated collection of Hybrid Tea Roses close by your outdoor seating. Attractive Aphrodite Sweetshrub is an easy plant to grow and maintain. Use it as a "friendly fence" along the property line. The neighbors will love it as much as you do! Include it on the outskirts of a planned Rain Garden. Trap and filter potentially polluted water runoff from streets and roofs using the power of plants. This is also a wonderful choice to use as a taller layer in a mixed shrub border. Include plenty of pollinator-friendly flowering plants to do your part to support local ecology. #ProPlantTips for Care Plant them in at least four hours of sunlight a day. The more sun…the more blooms! These rugged plants grow best in moist, well-drained soil conditions. Supply a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. Mulch over the root system to keep them nice and cool. Always pull mulch back away from directly touching the stems. Prune to shape after the flowering is done. Or...snip a few flowering branches near the end of the season to enjoy in tall vases indoors. Fertilize in early spring with an organic, slow-release fertilizer. Follow the application rate on the label. Join the growing Aphrodite Sweetshrub fan club. Place your order quickly, as our designer clients love this improved cultivar.
