Apatosaurus Bone Fragment - Authentic Morrison Formation Fossil Specimen

With a massive neck to reach the trees and a huge body to roam the land, the Apatosaurus was one of the most iconic dinosaurs of the Jurassic Period - a creature that lived 150 million years ago and has since become one of the most recognized sauropods in popular culture. This authentic Apatosaurus bone fossil is a real fossil bone fragment recovered from private land in the Morrison Formation - the same geological layer that has yielded some of the most important Jurassic dinosaur discoveries ever made. 150 Million Years in One Fragment This is not a cast or reproduction. This is a genuine Apatosaurus fossil recovered from the Morrison Formation. The specimen is presented in a glass-topped riker display case and includes an informational card that also serves as the certificate of authenticity. Specimens vary in size and shape - each piece is completely unique. The Authentic Apatosaurus Bone Fossil for Your Collection The name Apatosaurus - meaning "deceptive lizard" - reflects the complicated early taxonomic history of this genus, once confused with Brontosaurus and later disentangled over decades of paleontological revision. Today it stands on its own as one of the best-documented large sauropods in the fossil record. Each specimen includes a Mini Museum certificate of authenticity and informational display card.
