Apache Tear Crystal

Apache Tears can be used for grounding, to cleanse and heal old wounds, for protection against negative energies and to battle negative thoughts. They help us to understand lessons from Nature spirits and find value in them. These stones are perfect for carrying in your pocket or in a pouch for when emotional assistance is needed.  The name 'Apache Tears' derives from a legend about an Apache Indian Tribe that faced defeat during a battle with the Calvary. The outnumbered Apache warriors rode their horses off the mountain to their deaths rather than be killed. The Apache Women and family of those who had died wept for their lost ones, and for every tear that fell black stones were formed in the earth. It is said that anyone who has this stone should never need to cry again because the Apache women cried enough tears for all who mourn.
