AP3 85mm T2.4

Cooke has leveraged their legacy to create a short telephoto perspective that excels at portraiture, macro work, and isolating subjects with stunning dramatic clarity. Perfect for tight close-ups and compression-style storytelling, this lens creates a flattering rendering of facial features while pulling the background forward to emphasize the relationship between character and environment. Its optical design balances high-resolution performance with an organic fall-off, allowing filmmakers to achieve striking close-focus separation and beautiful subject highlighting while taming the distracting edge artifacts that can plague telephoto anamorphic designs. As part of the innovative AP3 product line, this lens is built around a lightweight, compact housing specifically optimized for modern owner-operator workflows, gimbal configurations, and drone operations. Moving away from the over-stylized, aggressive flaring common in budget anamorphic options, the AP3 series features a mature optical philosophy from Cooke that emphasizes restrained anamorphic character, smooth bokeh transitions, and a highly versatile 1.5x squeeze factor that perfectly complements full-frame mirrorless sensors. Designed for seamless production integration, the entire lineup utilizes a uniform front diameter and matching filter threads to simplify filter and matte box changes, while an innovative interchangeable mount system offers native compatibility across multiple mirrorless camera platforms to ensure long-term utility and reliable field performance.
