Description Not eligible for free shipping. Please contact us for a shipping estimate, or we will reach out to you after you place your order. The CENTREX 3000 AC/DC has a capacity of 6-8 residential and 9-11 weekend/vacation in AC mode. In DC or NE mode, the capacity is 5-7 residential or 8-10 weekend/vacation. The Centrex 3000 AC/DC features a 370 watt 120 volt thermostatically controlled heater in a sealed compartment beneath the unit coupled with the standard Sun-Mar 30 watt turbo fan and 2" vent stack. The heating system reduces the amount of effluent from the unit, and the fan removes any fresh odors, ensuring odor-free operation. The Centrex 3000 AC/DC also features a 4" vent stack which may be used to vent the unit when no electricity is present. Included with the unit is a 12 volt 2.4 watt fan that we strongly suggest installing in the vent stack, especially if you need to put a bend in the vent as shown in the diagram. WHY CHOOSE A SUN-MAR TOILET Sun-Mar toilets are the ultimate waste treatment solution Easily installed anywhere without the need for any plumbing connections, Sun-Mar toilets surpass traditional systems when it comes to protecting public health and the environment. When deciding which treatment solution is best for you it is very important to understand how various systems compare. Most waste treatment systems rely on bacteria to breakdown organic waste. This process is known as "composting". Traditional systems typically rely on a type of bacteria that survives in the absence of oxygen. This bacteria is called "anaerobic". Anaerobic bacteria work very slowly at breaking down waste and produce very foul odors (sewer gases). Sun-Mar units are engineered to support a type of bacteria that requires oxygen to survive. This bacteria is called "aerobic". Aerobic bacteria work very quickly at breaking down waste and produce no odor. This allows Sun-Mar units to be much smaller and more cost effective than traditional systems. Whether the treatment system supports aerobic or anaerobic bacteria, it is extremely important to choose a system which fully composts waste to protect public health and safety. Quite often companies will use the term "composting" to describe their systems, although they do not "fully compost" waste. This is particularly true of urine separating toilets which merely collect waste or provide only partial treatment. These systems leave the homeowners with the daunting task of regularly having to dispose of raw solid and liquid waste. Fully composting waste is very important for public health & safety and the environment. This is why comprehensive evaluation and certification by NSF International, a Public Health and Safety Organization, is crucial. It ensures products perform as claimed and meet strict public health standards for design and performance. Although ANSI/NSF standard 41 has been around for over 25 years, Sun-Mar is one of only 2 companies certified and listed by NSF international. Many regulators require this certification.
