Anvil Stump Tripod For Anvils

An anvil stump gives a bench anvil a solid, height-set base to hammer on. The Anvil Stump Tripod is a height-adjustable, portable work center designed for forming, shaping, and creative hammering. It works with all heavy anvils up to 200 lbs and delivers a stable, ergonomic platform whether you prefer to stand or sit. The tripod design eliminates wobbling on uneven floors, and the aluminum legs keep overall weight manageable for easy repositioning in the studio or classroom. The 7" thick block of laminated pine deadens sound and increases hammer rebound, delivering maximum energy to the work piece while reducing elbow strain. Most sound is absorbed into the pine block rather than transmitted through the legs, which makes this a quiet option for apartment dwellers and shared classroom environments. Unlike a traditional tree stump, the tripod configuration lets you sit forward comfortably with your feet positioned under the legs during extended hammering sessions.
