Textreme Antron Yarn

Gary LaFontaine really put Antron Yarn on the map with his caddis imitations using Antron to create shiny, bubble trapping shucks. Whether you love and tie/fish his patterns or not, Antron is a great trilobal filament that has a lovely amount of shine underwater. You can wrap entire bodies with it, use it for trailing shucks on emergers, legs, etc. You can also chop/shred it and either dub with it directly, or mix it into your favorite natural dubbing to give it some shine. Many of the most popular dubbing mixes on the market rely heavily on Antron for their sparkle. This is the full spectrum of colors available from Textreme of Italy.  Textreme is one of the most experienced textile companies in Italy, and their fly-tying range shows the incredibly superior experience they have compared to many manufacturers. They make all their own raw materials with the strictest quality control, and then have world-class dye houses do the coloring of the product using a precise digitally-controlled dying process that results in absolute consistency across batches, meaning the spool or hank of material you buy today will be the exact same shade as the one you buy 6 months from now. This level of consistency is a god-send for American tiers who have dealt with constantly varying dye lots and quality for decades now. Note: in addition to the colors that are labeled fluorescent, colors 10, 102, 113,114 and 120 will fluoresce under a UV light.
