Antique Painted Two-Tier General Store Display Case

Countertop wooden display case with an upper slant-front glazed showcase above a lower rectangular display compartment, both enclosed with sliding mirrored rear doors. The case retains its original painted finish with an attractive aged craquelure surface and features a later red felt lining in both display areas. Intended for merchandising small goods such as jewelry, pocket knives, watches, tobacco accessories, or general store merchandise, the case separates into two sections for easier transportation and installation. The mirrored rear doors enhance visibility of displayed objects while allowing convenient access from behind the counter. Shows overall good condition consistent with age and commercial use. Original painted finish exhibits extensive age-related craquelure, scattered scratches, edge wear, minor losses, and handling marks throughout. New red felt lining has been professionally installed in both display compartments. Sliding mirrored rear doors operate smoothly and exhibit expected desilvering. Glass panels remain intact with scattered light surface wear. The case separates at the midpoint as designed.
