Antique Elephant Goad

Elephant goads, also known as ankushas or bullhooks, are tools traditionally used by mahouts or elephant handlers to guide and control elephants. While historically used as essential tools in the management of working elephants, the use of elephant goads has become controversial due to concerns about animal welfare. Many organizations and facilities are adopting positive reinforcement methods and alternative tools to ensure the well-being of elephants under human care.
