Antique Aqua Teak Column Base

Stand a pillar candle on it and the whole corner changes. This antique teak column base is built in stepped tiers, wide at the foot and narrowing as it rises, and it carries traces of chipped sage-green paint over aged, weathered wood. It was made to hold something up, and it still does, only now it holds whatever you choose to put on it. At 10.5 inches across and 8 inches tall, it works as a low pedestal for a pillar candle, a bowl of fruit or a small sculpture. Use it as a plant stand for a pot, a riser to lift a lantern or hurricane glass, or a sculptural accent on a shelf or mantel. Set a tray on top and it becomes a low side table. Because it is teak, it also suits a covered porch, a patio or a garden corner. The paint is aged and will keep weathering outdoors, which is part of its charm. *Era: Antique *Material: Teak with remnants of original paint *Size: 10.5"(Dia) x 8"(H) *Color: Weathered teak with chipped sage green paint *Condition: Antique condition with chipped paint, aged patina and wear consistent with age. Use it as a pedestal for a pillar candle, a bowl or a small sculpture, as a plant stand, or as a riser for a lantern. Place a tray on top and it becomes a low side table. Group it with other bases at different heights for a layered display. 2. Can I use it outdoors? The base is teak, a wood known for standing up to weather, so it suits a covered porch, a patio or a garden corner. The sage-green paint is aged and chipped and will keep wearing in the elements, so a sheltered spot keeps the finish longest. For candles, use a glass hurricane or an LED candle on the wood.
