ANTING ANTING: SAMPAGUITA / HOPE EARRINGS

DESCRIPTION Our jewelry studio is on maternity leave, and because this is made-to-order, it will not be available until July 2025. Thank you for understanding. In its most popular form, the anting-anting is an indigenous Philippine amulet, believed to protect its wearer. Inspired by the cultural cues of our ancestors, these charms are an extension of the Filipino belief that everyday objects are imbued with symbols to heal, protect, strengthen, and manifest. MAAARI’s Anting Anting collection is our version of this safeguarding talisman — an homage to the ancestral spirits that guide us. The charms in this collection are affirmations we strive to instill in our day to day: Banga = Resilience Linglingo = Abundance Pakudos = Protection Tao Tao= Peace Sampaguita = Hope As a tribute to the national flower of the Philippine –  the sampaguita flower symbolizes  purity, fidelity, and hope.  Often seen strung on a garland, they are used as a form of bestowing honor, or accolade to the person wearing them.  Made with fresh water pearls. Charms available in high polished brass, sterling silver or gold plate. Made in small batches. Limited quantities ready to ship. Please allow 1-2 week to ship. Kegulian uses sustainably sourced, recycled metals to cast our pieces. After casting, the pieces are hand-finished and then sent to our Maaari studio where the pieces take their final form. All pieces are made with ethically-mined metal and sustainably-sourced earth stones. TAKE CARE Brass and Silver naturally oxidizes over time and have found that we appreciate the patina. Renew your piece's shine with vinegar, water, baking soda, and a polishing cloth. To delay oxidation, keep your MAAARI jewelry away from moisture. We pride ourselves on providing high quality, hand-made jewelry. We want all of your favorite MAAARI pieces to last forever. In this spirit, we are proud to offer lifetime repairs on all MAAARI jewelry at no cost.  Have a repair? E-mail us at info@maaari.co and we'll send you mailing instructions within 24 hours.
