Anthurium Magnificum Silver

Anthurium Magnificum Silver is a cultivar of the classic Anthurium magnificum, distinguished by its oversized, velvety foliage with bold silver venation. It combines the grandeur of large-leaf anthuriums with shimmering metallic highlights, making it a centerpiece plant for advanced collectors. Care Guide Light: Bright, indirect light to maintain strong venation contrast. Avoid direct sun which can scorch foliage. Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Keep evenly moist but not soggy. Humidity: Requires high humidity (70–90%) to thrive. Benefits from humidifiers, greenhouse setups, or terrariums. Temperature: Thrives between 65–85°F. Protect from drafts and cold below 60°F. Soil: Loose, well-draining mix with potting soil, perlite/pumice, orchid bark, and sphagnum moss. Fertilizer: Feed monthly during active growth with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce in winter. Growth Habit: Large, upright growth with velvety leaves and striking silver venation. Best suited for display in high-humidity environments. Common Issues: Yellow leaves: overwatering or nutrient imbalance. Brown edges: low humidity or underwatering. Pests: spider mites, thrips, and mealybugs; treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap. Toxicity: Not safe for pets or humans if ingested. Key Notes: Anthurium Magnificum Silver thrives under carefully controlled conditions. With bright indirect light, consistent moisture, and high humidity, it develops into a spectacular hybrid that showcases both grandeur and shimmering silver venation, perfect for serious collectors of rare foliage plants.
