Anodyne House Blend

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co.'s House Blend represents what a daily coffee should be: reliable, comforting, and complex enough to keep you interested cup after cup. This Milwaukee roaster has built its reputation on approachable, well-executed coffees, and their House Blend showcases the best of Central and South American beans in a medium roast that highlights sweetness and balance over intensity. Tasting NotesThe first sip delivers soft milk chocolate sweetness, like a freshly snapped bar with gentle cocoa warmth. Graham cracker notes emerge in the mid-palate, lending a wholesome, biscuit-like quality that makes this coffee feel instantly familiar. Roasted nuts—think almonds and hazelnuts—add depth and a lingering, toasted finish. The acidity is mild and citrus-toned, just enough brightness to keep the profile clean without pulling focus from the chocolatey core. The body is medium and smooth, with a round mouthfeel that works beautifully with or without milk. Brew MethodsThis is a true all-arounder. As drip coffee or pour over, the House Blend shines with clarity and sweetness—try a V60 or Chemex to highlight the graham and nut notes. In a French press, the body becomes richer and the chocolate tones deepen. It pulls a forgiving, sweet shot as espresso, with enough structure to stand up to milk drinks—cappuccinos and lattes take on a nutty, caramel-like character. Cold brew fans will appreciate its smooth, low-acid profile that tastes like liquid almond milk chocolate.
