Anise Bear Attractant & Cover Scent - Liquid

Odin’s Anise Bear Attractant & Cover Scent – Liquid unleashes a powerful, licorice-like aroma long trusted by bear hunters for its exceptional draw—often over surprising distances. The synthetic, oil-based formula resists wash-off, polymerizes on air contact for a field-hardened, rainproof layer, and provides a consistent 7-day release. Effective for fall bear seasons and bait-site setups, with secondary attraction for deer and hogs. Benefits Engineered for consistent scent diffusion — polymerizes when exposed to air to form a waterproof layer for steady field release. Potent, long-range anise aroma — a legendary bear draw that triggers curiosity and fast investigation at bait sites and travel corridors. 7-day long-lasting release — extended attraction with fewer reapplications. Weather-resistant formula — stays active through rain, dew, and wash-off better than typical liquids. Synthetic & compliant — clean, safe, and legal for use in regulated areas. Regulations vary; check your state laws before use. How to Use Deploy Odin’s Anise strategically to maximize bear attraction and pattern consistency: Spray onto hanging branches, logs, or scent posts near bait stations to get the aroma up in the wind. Lay a light trail of small squirts leading into your setup to guide bears downwind toward your stand. Coat e-bike tires or boots for a subtle travel trail that bears can follow back to your spot. The oily formula sticks to paws, so bears that investigate can create their own scent path back on return visits. Pro tip: Apply to elevated surfaces (low branches, tree crotches, stump tops) to improve wind dispersal and hang-time. DEPLOY THE ODIN’S ADVANTAGE: LEGENDARY BEAR DRAW. LONG-RANGE POWER. FAQs Q: What is the best bear attractant? Anise (black licorice) is the most popular bear attractant in North America, but Jelly Donut, Molasses, Peanut Butter, and Apple have proven to be very successful, too. Odin’s liquid scents deliver concentrated aroma in a weatherproof, oil-based formula. For extended-release attraction, pair with Peanut Butter or Jelly Donut scent beads, which maintain sweet aroma at your site for 30+ days. Q: Do scent attractants work on feral hogs? Yes. Feral hogs have a strong sense of smell and are attracted to sweet, calorie-dense food aromas. Odin’s Sweet Corn, Apple, and Peanut Butter scent beads and liquids are all effective for drawing hogs to specific locations. The 30-day extended-release bead format is particularly effective because it maintains attraction at trap sites or hunting areas without daily maintenance. Q: Can I use the same scent beads for bears and hogs? Yes. There are a lot of crossovers between the species. Sweet, fruit-forward scents work best for both species. Jelly Donut and Peanut Butter are effective with both. Anise is particularly effective for bears but produces less response from hogs. Pear is most consistently effective with hogs. Q: What is the best way to use scents for bear hunting? We are hearing the best result by putting beads over a larger area – they are small and we have not seen the bear eat them.  Apply liquid generously in an area; they will pick it up on their paws and distribute it on their path. Q: Have we field tested the scents for bear? Not a formal field test. A Canadian Outfitter used a variety of scents last year and his hunters went 13 for 13!  This year he took 3 times as much – reports coming after the May/June hunt. Q: Have we field tested the scents for hogs? Yes. See the details on our website -  HOG SCENT FIELD TRIALS. Pear was the most effective—and a bit of a surprise—for hogs.   How long does Odin’s Anise Liquid Scent last? Each application delivers up to 7 days of scent, thanks to its polymerizing, weather-resistant formula. Why is anise so effective for bears? Anise has a strong, sweet, licorice-like aroma that bears detect from long distances. Hunters have relied on it for decades as one of the most reliable bear attractants. Will it also attract deer and hogs? Yes. While Anise is legendary for bear, it also sparks curiosity in deer and hogs, especially when applied along trails, scrapes, or camera sites. Where should I apply Anise Liquid Scent? Spray it on hanging branches, logs, or elevated scent posts near bait stations, or lay light trails on boots, e-bike tires, or ground cover to lead game back to your stand. Is it legal to use in my state? Yes—Odin’s Anise Liquid Scent is fully synthetic and compliant in regulated areas. Regulations vary; check your state laws before use.
