Anise Basil Seeds

Basil Anise is a terrific herb originally from Persia that acts as an excellent companion plant for peppers and tomatoes. Bees and other important pollinators will appreciate you adding this delicious herb to your garden or growing containers! These basil plants are fairly compact, growing around 6-8" tall and blooming later than other basil, allowing for a longer harvest season. Anise Basil performs better with full sun and regular watering. Pruning will also help develop a bushier and healthier plant. The leaves on these basil plants have a spicy anise-licorice flavor and strong fragrance that lends itself well to tomato sauce, fish, and many Italian and Thai dishes! Try growing this plant right in your kitchen window for easy maintenance and accessibility when you need to spice up your meal!
