The Animal Kingdom goes to war in this magical take on the classic chess set. Introducing Animalia: the Animal Kingdom Chess Set. This exquisitely detailed metal edition brings an entirely new cast of characters to the 1,500-year-old game of strategy. A Menagerie of creatures wonderfully demonstrates the intricacies of the game and its workings. The anthropomorphic cast includes The Giraffe King; Lofty and regal, yet flawed and vulnerable. The Queen Hen; Ruthless ruler of her house. The Fox Bishop; clever as he is sly. The gallant Knight; forever cavalier. The Rook; thick as a brick and always direct, and on the front line the Rhino Pawns; brutish brawn with more horn than brains. Each animal figure is made of cast metal and plated in silver and bronze. Classic chess board made of Macassar and Maple. Dimensions: 14" x 14" x .5"
