ANGIOJET ULTRA POSSIS 5000A | Thrombectomy System

The ANGIOJET ULTRA POSSIS 5000A is a mechanical thrombectomy system designed for the rapid and effective removal of thrombus (blood clots) from coronary and peripheral arteries. Manufactured initially by Possis Medical and now distributed by Boston Scientific, it is the only FDA-approved mechanical thrombectomy device for the removal of thrombus in coronary arteries, making it a leading choice for patients with a large thrombus burden during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Key Features: Proven Mechanical Thrombectomy: Utilizes high-speed saline jets that travel backward within the catheter, creating a powerful vacuum effect (negative pressure zone less than -600 mmHg) to break up and remove thrombus. Versatile Clinical Use: Suitable for a broad range of clinical scenarios, including coronary and peripheral arterial thrombosis, with a variety of compatible catheters for different vessel sizes and applications. Simple Setup: Features an easy three-step setup (preparation, loading, priming) and a compact, portable design for efficient integration into hospital workflows. Active Aspiration: Provides strong suction to evacuate fragmented clot material, restoring blood flow quickly and efficiently. Power Pulse™ Lytic Delivery (optional): Allows simultaneous infusion of thrombolytic agents directly into the clot for enhanced dissolution before mechanical aspiration (with compatible catheters). Console and Accessories: The 5000A console is paired with a foot pedal for hands-free operation and is compatible with a range of AngioJet Ultra thrombectomy catheters.
