*FINAL SALE* Angels From The Past

An exclusive look at the rare “Angel Fish” and the fossil-bearing Bolca sites, as only expert paleontologist, geologist, and gemologist Stefano Piccini Ph.D. can tell it. This collector’s edition features exclusive, detailed pictures of rare fossils from private collections and in-depth scientific information about the most important, unique specimens discovered. Angels From the Past details what are perhaps Italy’s most important fossil localities near the village of Bolca. Famed for quality of preservation, diversity of the association, and abundance of fossils, the Bolca site yielded the rare Eoplatax papilio. Only 25 angel fish have been discovered after centuries of research. Follow the tale of a pristine specimen discovered by the Cerato family, a long line of professional fossil hunters, through its restoration at Dr. Piccini’s own Geoworld geo-paleontological laboratory. Dr. Piccini shares knowledge collected from a lifetime’s work and study in an approachable way, including personal insights from his own work on the specimen. Paired with stunning artwork, this is a “must have” for everyone from the aspiring paleontologist to the most particular collector.
