Angel

Rare Vintage Serigraph  1978  29.75 x 22 One from a numbered edition of 250 signed by Peter Max.  This work captures the essence of Peter Max's 'Cosmic Art' period - an era of works that inspired and captured the zeitgeist of a generation and brought the artist international acclaim.  In 'Angel,' Max demonstrates his daring, unforgettable color - electric blues and pinks, a burst of golden yellow, details in tangerine, all contrasting and complementing perfectly within his strong, black line work.  One of Max's favorite subjects, this Angel stands at attention in profile, her wings in full expanse with a star as a ring on her finger. She's a guardian and companion in joyous, fauvist Max color.  ©ALP, Inc.
