Androgyne Dining Table

The Audo Copenhagen Androgyne Dining Table Round amplifies that lesson in contrasts from the side table collection into grander proportions that genuinely command attention. Designed by Norwegian architect Danielle Siggerud, this round dining table pairs natural materials to striking effect - like a magnificent monument that becomes a characterful accent whether in domestic dining rooms or restaurants. Available in two sizes at Ø110cm and Ø120cm, both at 73cm height seating 6-8 people comfortably, with customizable combinations that let you mix and match tops with bases. Choose all-wood versions in oiled natural oak or dark-stained oak, or go bold with the Ø120 pairing a wooden base with marble or stone tops in Grey Galaxy marble with intricate silver-grey veining, or Kunis Breccia stone featuring characteristic warm-hued mineral fragments. Each combination creates contrasting textures and finishes that make the table a focal point rather than just functional furniture. What makes the Androgyne Round Table genuinely impressive is how that circular shape eliminates dining hierarchy - everyone sits equally around the table without head-of-table politics, and conversation flows naturally when people face each other. The all-wood versions bring warmth and cohesion, while the marble/stone topped versions create drama through material contrast - heavy natural stone appearing to float on those geometric wooden bases. The lacquered oak veneer with its varnished finish handles daily family dinners without being precious, while the marble and stone tops are treated with sealant providing that optimal compromise between natural finish and functionality. Each piece varies since it's crafted from natural materials - wood grain differs, marble veining is unique to each slab - so you're getting genuine character rather than uniform manufactured surfaces. The round shape also means maximum seating efficiency in a smaller footprint compared to rectangular tables, and that central pedestal base means no table legs for people to constantly bump knees against. Works beautifully in dining rooms, restaurants, or any gathering spaces where meals become experiences rather than just eating. Audo Copenhagen was formed by uniting MENU, by Lassen, and The Audo, creating a brand that collaborates with architects like Danielle Siggerud who approach furniture with architectural sensitivity. A Norwegian architect based in Copenhagen with a master's from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Denmark, Siggerud founded her studio in 2016 and now works globally on projects from renovations to furniture making. Her work demonstrates a keen eye for space and materials through a sensitive approach that embraces built forms while attending meticulously to details from construction to the smallest interior elements. Her design ethos commits to simplicity through balancing architectural fundamentals - space, proportion, light, and materials - using these qualities as tools to enhance human experience. The Androgyne Dining Table reflects this philosophy, creating customizable furniture that pairs natural materials with bold confidence to transform dining into something more elevated.
