Brasilia Lounge Chair w/ Low Back

The Brasilia Lounge Chair with Low Back from Audo Copenhagen (formerly Menu) presents a refined variation on Anderssen & Voll's celebrated design—offering the perfect balance between lounging comfort and active engagement. This thoughtful adaptation maintains the collection's signature fusion of Scandinavian mid-century precision and Brazilian modernist expression while introducing a more versatile silhouette ideal for contemporary living. The lower backrest (27" H compared to the standard 32.3" H) creates a more open, conversational presence that encourages interaction while still providing exceptional comfort and support. Norwegian design virtuosos Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll have maintained the collection's distinctive elements—stout wooden legs constructed with traditional joinery techniques, exaggerated capsule-shaped armrests, and generous cushioning—while recalibrating the proportions for a more streamlined profile. Measuring 37" W × 30" D, this edition of the Brasilia Lounge Chair features a slightly more compact footprint than its standard counterpart, making it particularly well-suited to urban apartments, open-concept living spaces, and arrangements where visual lightness is desired without compromising on comfort. The chair's cold-cured foam cushioning, wrapped in your choice of premium upholstery options ranging from textured Kvadrat fabrics to sumptuous leathers, creates a seating experience that is simultaneously supportive and yielding. The solid wood frame—available in multiple finish options—provides a robust foundation that contrasts beautifully with the soft upholstered elements, creating a visual dialogue between structure and comfort, precision and ease. These thoughtfully engineered details reflect Anderssen & Voll's commitment to furniture that engages both body and mind. Perfect for creating sophisticated conversation areas, complementing dining spaces that transition to lounging, or establishing a distinctive work-from-home environment, the Brasilia Lounge Chair with Low Back adapts effortlessly to contemporary living patterns. When paired with other pieces from the Brasilia collection or incorporated into eclectic interiors, this versatile chair demonstrates how thoughtful design can enhance daily life through the perfect balance of form, function, and emotional resonance. Experience the versatility of the Brasilia Lounge Chair with Low Back—where Anderssen & Voll's design philosophy finds expression in a piece that elegantly bridges formal and casual contexts.
