AMOEBA - Shaped Shearling Rug

The Amoeba Shearling Rug is where nature-inspired forms meet hand-finished luxury. Crafted from 100% Patagonian shearling, this irregular area rug takes cues from organic silhouettes — an ode to curves, asymmetry, and the softness of natural motion.   Its plush wool texture is pieced into a flowing custom shaped rug, ideal for anchoring artful living rooms, gallery-like interiors, or curated spaces where rectangular rules don’t apply. The rich tonal variation of the custom dyed maroon shearling enhances its fluid silhouette, creating an inviting focal point that’s as warm underfoot as it is sculptural to the eye.   Designed for collectors, designers, and modernists seeking bold softness, the Amoeba Rug elevates organic design with refined materials.   Product Details   Raw material: 100% Patagonian Shearling – hand-selected lambskin Pattern & Color: Deep maroon tonal patchwork in irregular organic ameoba shape Pile Height: 24mm  Pattern Repeat: N/A – Freeform shaped Backing: Felt & Suede Available Sizes: Fully customizable on request Lead time production:  5-8 weeks.  Usage:  Residential / High-design commercial projects   More About Our Irregular Rugs   At Homelosophy, we embrace design that flows. Our irregular shearling rugs are cut, sculpted, and stitched entirely in-house — made from naturally textured hides that reflect Patagonia’s raw beauty.   The Amoeba Rug was developed as part of our push toward non-linear design thinking — offering interior designers a way to break the box and introduce curves, softness, and organic edges to any project.   Each piece is handcrafted for clients who value intentional asymmetry, sustainable luxury, and sculptural impact.   FAQs About Our Custom Shaped Rugs Can I request a different color or form? Yes. All our rugs are made-to-order. You can customize the shape, size, and shearling tone.   How do I integrate this into a project layout? This irregular rug works beautifully under low tables, reading corners, or in open floorplans where traditional rectangles may feel harsh.   How is it cleaned or maintained? We recommend light vacuuming and annual professional wool/specialist cleaning. Avoid water soaking.
