On the back of the Clear Quartz Gemstone is a modified Millennium Cut, a starburst pattern that was created in the early years of the 21st Century by master jewelers to reflect the emerging consciousness of a new millennium. The surface of the gemstone is laced with an intricate pattern of flat hexagons, like a honeycomb or the eye of a honeybee. The compound eye of a honeybee consists of an array of hexagonal visual sensors designed to maximize the honeybee's ability to detect tiny movements in shadow and in the lower, infrared light frequencies, enabling the honeybee to achieve maximum awareness of predator movements in deep shadow and also provides amazingly acute peripheral vision. The honeycomb is also composed of hexagonal cells, so we call this cut the honeycomb cut, and this unique cut is said to help the bearer to bring to consciousness all the information that is normally held subliminally, in the unconscious mind, or which is in the periphery of consciousness and awareness. This honeycomb cut pendant can help to render the bearer much more acutely perceptive, and to enhance the critical spiritual faculty of discernment, which is so vital to us all in today's rapidly changing, tumultuous global environment. You can see the beautiful hexagonal faces on the surface of this remarkable pendant in this photo. Mineralogical and Metaphysical Properties of Clear Quartz Clear quartz has both piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties, so quartz crystals will respond to heat and pressure by changing their electrical polarities, and by radiating energies. Quartz crystals are ideal for receiving, storing, amplifying and transmitting energy. They are used in computers, liquid crystal display watches, radios, radar systems and many other types of advanced technologies. Quartz crystals have been used by healers, spiritual teachers, and scientists of the sacred throughout history to receive, transmit, store, focus, amplify, transform and balance the various forms of energy found in our Universe, all of which can be considered to be interchangeable forms of Universal Light. Quartz crystals have been used by healers, spiritual teachers, and scientists of the sacred throughout history to receive, transmit, store, focus, amplify, transform and balance the various forms of energy found in our Universe, all of which can be considered to be interchangeable forms of Universal Light. Quartz crystals have this marvelous ability because, metaphysically, quartz crystal expresses the unity of the five elements (Earth,Air, Fire, Water, and Ether or Spirit). Crystals grow deep in the earth and form much of the earth’s crust, yet crystals, like the element air, allow light to pass through them. Thus crystals partake of the qualities of the elements of air and earth. Crystals are fiery in that they have piezoelectric properties yet they are watery in their hexagonal molecular structure which resembles snowflakes, and in their ice-like appearance. Crystals are quintessential expressions of the element of Ether or Spirit, which is synonymous with Universal Life Force Energy, the fundamental energy that sustains all forms of energy in the known universe. Thus crystals partake of the qualities of all five elements and thus crystals manifest the unity that underlies the apparent multiplicity of material creation, the unity of both material and spiritual worlds. From a metaphysical viewpoint, quartz crystals are cosmic tuning forks, harmonizing the soul, mind, heart and body of the user with the vibrational frequencies of Spiritual worlds – which are after all simply realms of light resonating at a much higher frequency than the material world. Clear quartz crystals have been used extensively for physical healing, rejuvenation, meditation, and spiritual development in societies all over planet Earth for millennia. Buddhists, indigenous shamanic healers of the Americas, Asia and Africa, Egyptians, Mayans, Aztecs, Romans, Scots, Celts and Australian Aborigines all used clear quartz crystals in their healing arts and spiritual practices. Mineralogical and Metaphysical Properties of Amethyst Amethyst is the gemstone variety of quartz, produced by the presence of manganese in clear quartz crystal. Increments of iron within the crystal as it formed vary the color of the amethyst, which ranges from pale lilac to deep purple. Amethyst has been popular with royalty, sages, mystics and magicians for centuries. “Fine amethysts are featured in the British Crown Jewels and were also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty,” according to the International Colored Gemstone Association. “Leonardo Da Vinci wrote that amethyst was able to dissipate evil thoughts and quicken the intelligence,” according to the ICGA website. “Because amethyst was thought to encourage celibacy and symbolize piety, amethyst was very important in the ornamentation of Catholic and other churches in the Middle Ages. It was, in particular, considered to be the stone of bishops and they still often wear amethyst rings,” continues the ICGA. “In Tibet, amethyst is considered to be sacred to Buddha and rosaries are often fashioned from it.” Amethyst is said to enhance spirituality, raise the vibrational level of the holder, cleanse the astral, etheric and physical bodies, and produce a peaceful, tranquil state of mind. The color violet is associated with the crown chakra in the Western chakra system, and so this extremely bright violet amethyst is said by crystal healers to activate and energize the crown chakra, connecting the bearer to Higher Mind, Higher Realms and inner spiritual guidance from extremely elevated and reliable Sources. We use amethyst as a spiritual purifier, a way to protect the etheric body from outer stresses, be they of a spiritual, mental, physical, personal or impersonal nature. Amethyst is classically the stone of sobriety, purity and chastity and would be an excellent stone for those with tendencies toward addictive behavior, or for those spiritual seekers intent upon transformation through the progressive purification of mind, body and aura. The color of amethyst is violet, the color of the seventh, or crown chakra, in the human energy body, and the Violet Ray is the Seventh of the Seven Rays of Creation. The Seventh Ray is one aspect of the Holy Spirit, a combination of the blue flame of faith and the pink flame of love. The Ascended Master who is Master of the Seventh Ray is Count St. Germain, the eighteenth century reincarnation of the Western Mystic and Adept Christian Rosenkreuz, apochryphal founder of the Rosicrucian Order. The Seventh Ray focus greatly on the use of ceremonial magic and alchemy to purify and transmute the lower, animal instincts of humanity into higher impulses, higher thought-forms, more evolved emotional states, and more purified energetic signatures at all levels of being. In the pantheon of modern day New Age Guides and Teachers, the Count Saint Germain is called "The World Teacher" and "The Master of the Violet Ray" and is thought to communicate mind-to-mind with many, many students around the world. There is thought to be a large contingent of his students alive today in the United States, the center of modern Empire, just as Paris was the center of European Empire at the time of St. Germain. Many New Age students of St. Germain utilize crystals and gemstones in their spiritual practice, for healing and in meditation, in a modern alchemical quest for Higher Self, Higher Mind and Higher Purpose. Modern New Age practice encompasses a belief in the theory of karma and reincarnation. The belief in reincarnation has its roots in the Hindu and Egyptian Mystery School traditions, and is fundamental to the Greek Mystery School Tradition of the pre-Socratic philosophers, as we discuss at great length in the online E-Book Spirits of Stone: A Lightworker's Guide to Crystals for Healing and Meditation. New Age students of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings often utilize crystals and gemstones, along with meditation techniques, Reiki and past life regression therapy to access memories of past lives, and to release the detrimental patterns of behavior, negative emotions and outmoded mental maps of the world imprinted in our cells, our hearts, our minds and our karma from traumas experienced aeons ago. Many of these modern acolytes of the Great Alchemist utilize crystals and gemstones thought to resonate with the energy vibration of the Violet Ray, under the guidance of Master St. Germain for purification and to raise the kundalini energy in a quest for Unity Consciousness. Such crystals and gems include especially amethyst, that violet colored form of quartz once so favored by the Pope and Bishops of the Catholic Church. Amethyst is a very helpful stone in the quartz family, used for clearing, protection and spiritual development. It is a wonderful tool for personal growth on one's spiritual path. Mineralogical and Metaphysical Properties of Morganite Morganite is a form of beryl, or beryllium aluminum silicate, composed of hexagonal crystals, which can reach gigantic sizes of up to 9 meters long, weighing several tons. Beryl occurs most frequently as grayish-white, yellowish-white or pale blue-green crystals, but there are several gemstone varieties of beryl, including emerald (green), aquamarine (blue) and morganite (rose). Morganite has an affinity with the heart chakra, which is often associated with the color pink or rose in New Age systems of thought. Crystal healers use morganite to vivify, strengthen, and open the heart chakra. Morganite is said to help develop loving relationships, to strengthen existing love relationships, and to help the bearer understand and manifest balanced relationships between loved ones, between the sexes, and between the races. Morganite has been used for millennia as an aid to social interactions by communities of indigenous peoples around the world, because this magical stone promotes the experience of brotherhood and sisterhood among those involved in group activities. When used in a group setting, morganite facilitates heart-felt speech and heart-felt listening by all parties. Morganite is also a crystal containing the energetic records of past civilizations, and is suitable for use as a "story stone" by intuitives and clairvoyants who can tune into the energetic recordings contained within the crystal, which were captured during the many, many millennia of the crystal's growth cycle. We often use crystal pendants for psychic protection, purification and to clarify things of a spiritual nature.
