With an all new State-of-the-art DL6000 electronic lock with a large 3-3/4" touch screen LCD input display, the WEST2114 wall safe by American Security products is quite possibly the coolest wall safe available. The mode altering display changes from orange in standby mode to bright blue while in the open position. When the battery gets low the LCD display conveniently has a low-battery indicator and in case you were ever wondering what time or day it was, it displays that as well. In the event the batteries die before you can open it to change them, there is a convenient emergency key-lock override system with two keys, power override battery box, built-in spy-proof function and motion detector alert. The lock can accept two unique user codes and can show open door records for the past 14 entries. If you and your kids have a different code, you'll be able to know when they've been meddling around. While having a heavy duty steel body, 3/16" solid steel door and flange, this wall safe still fits conveniently in-between the wall studs. It's designed for easy installation between 16 o/c wall studs with pre-drilled anchor holes and a built-in flange eliminating unnecessary replastering. Once the correct combination has been entered, you'll notice the extra spacious interior with two removable shelves for convenient storage. Two live action bolts ensure protection against pry attacks and that's if the burglar can even find it. It's finished in a durable powder coat cream color and will look great hiding behind your picture frame. AMSEC stands behind and believes in the quality of their products by offering a 1 year limited warranty on the WEST2114 Electronic Lock Wall Safe. While wall safes offer great security being easily hidden and surrounded by wall studs, these same features also make them extremely susceptible to moisture problems. Keeping papers and valuables inside zip lock bags and Tupperware help when experiencing a fire or flood, humidity will still seep inside causing mildew and corrosion. We strongly recommend using a Lockdown Silica Gel Can to absorb this moisture and keep your valuables safe. It's a small, rechargeable unit that has a color indicator letting you know it's full and needs to be renewed. You should open your safe (especially after initial installation) frequently to assess moisture and check the silica gel. How often the units need recharging depends on your climate and how often you are in your safe. For any questions regarding humidity and moisture, give us a call at 800-827-7534.
