It typically displays a mottled or striped appearance, adding to its visual appeal. Amazonite is often used in jewelry and ornamental carvings due to its attractive color and relative hardness. Fun fact: Amazonite is named after the Amazon River in South America, although it is not actually found in the Amazon basin. Instead, it is primarily mined in various parts of the world, including Brazil and the United States. Despite not being native to the Amazon region, it was believed by European settlers to have been discovered there, hence the name. Today, amazonite is prized for its calming energy and is sometimes referred to as the "stone of courage" for its reputed ability to promote confidence and self-expression. Natural variances are part of the beauty of our genuine stones. Your piece will vary slightly from the image shown.
