A great stone to wear to ameliorate stress. We often recommend that our Reiki and past life therapy clients wear crystals or gemstones for protection, especially clear quartz which contains all colors of the spectrum and works on all the bodies: physical, mental and emotional. Amazonite is a form of feldspar and so shares in those qualities as well. Amazonite is a mineral which is soothing to the emotional body, soothing the nerves by eliminating aggravation and dispelling negative energies. It is soothing to all chakras, especially the heart and throat, and because of it's blue-green color it is very helpful in communications of all kinds. Because this stone is very balancing to the etheric, astral and physical bodies, it is a wonderful stone for healing, for balancing male and female energies, and as a preventive stone. I find amazonite to be very relaxing when feeling overwhelmed and stressed out. It helps my nervous system equilibrate and ground. Feldspar the "name of a family of silicates". It is useful in detatching from old energies, encouraging new methods to achieve one's goals, assisting in issues of self love. All in all, a wonderful and beautiful stone to wear or keep in your pocket! We often use crystals for psychic protection, purification and to clarify things of a spiritual nature.
