The footwear from Moonstar’s own Kurume factory reflects the technology and experience cultivated over many years.   The concept/brand of “Shoes like Pottery” involves using vulcanization or “ka-ryu.” Each shoe undergoes a process akin to firing in a kiln, causing the sulfur mixed inside the raw rubber to create a durable, soft, and flexible material. Ka-ryu is only performed by a select handful of shoe manufacturers in the world.
