It is fat quarter and scrap friendly. The pattern was inspired by my nephew leaving for college. I wanted to send a piece of home with him, something tangible to remind him that no matter the distance, our bond remains unbreakable. Each block in this quilt tells a story of connection and support, crafted from pairs of fabrics symbolizing two people, always together.  As you piece these blocks together, you'll notice that there's no background fabric separating them. This intentional choice represents our interconnected lives, where community and relationships are woven directly into the fabric of our existence. The repeated, yet random placement of fabrics throughout the quilt mirrors the beautiful chaos of our social tapestry; one where we are all interwoven in unexpected, yet meaningful ways. Creating this quilt is not just about assembling fabric pieces; it's about stitching together memories, love, and the comfort of knowing that we are never truly alone. As you work on your Always Together Quilt, may it remind you of the people who are always with you, no matter where life takes you or them. Each stitch is a reminder of the connections that define us and the support that surrounds us, making this quilt a true symbol of togetherness and community.  This quilt could also be a beautiful tribute to a loved one who as passed. I imagine crafting it from my dad's old plaid cotton button-downs, each block a piece of a cherished memory, each stitch a place of connection. Through this quilt, we honor those who have shaped our lives, keeping their presence alive in the warmth and comfort of a handmade treasure.  I chose woven fabrics for their texture and sense of immediate lived in, crinkly-soft quality.
