The Alva by Noriko is made from standard synthetic fiber, which is not heat-friendly and should not be styled with flat irons, curling wands, or blow dryers. The style arrives pre-set with straight layers and a sleek tapered fringe that hold their shape wash after wash with minimal effort. To understand the full range of synthetic fiber options, explore our Wig Fiber Guide for a helpful comparison. How do I wash and care for the Alva by Noriko wig? Wash the Alva by Noriko every 6 to 8 wears using a sulfate-free synthetic wig shampoo and cool water. Gently swish — never rub or wring — then apply a light synthetic conditioner, rinse thoroughly, and allow the wig to air dry on a wig stand. Avoid heat drying entirely. Proper care preserves the straight layers and natural sheen that make this Noriko style so easy to wear. Check available colors with our Color Guide Tool if you're considering a color refresh. With consistent care, the Alva by Noriko typically lasts 4 to 6 months with daily wear, or up to 12 months or longer when worn 2 to 3 times per week. Its lightweight machine-made construction and durable synthetic fiber are built to hold their style and shape over time. Gentle handling, proper washing intervals, and storing on a wig stand between wears will maximize the wig's lifespan. Is the Alva by Noriko a good option for women experiencing hair loss? The Alva by Noriko can be a comfortable and discreet choice for women with thinning hair or hair loss at early to moderate stages. Its Feather Light, machine-made cap provides full coverage, and the adjustable nape tabs offer the added security many medical wig wearers need. Because the cap does not include a monofilament or lace front, those with significant scalp sensitivity may want to layer a wig liner or cap liner underneath for added comfort.
