Aluminum Side Post

The Aluminum Side Post is designed for gate, fence, and railing terminations where a strong single-channel frame is required. Use it when a gate is installed between a block wall, an existing fence, a house, a column, or another properly prepared structure that will support the hinge side or latch side. It is also an excellent choice for fence panels installed between columns and for short fence sections that do not require a center post. In compatible railing designs, the profile can be used horizontally as a top rail to create a clean, framed finish. The open channel accepts the Aluminum Post Cover For Channels when the channel needs to be closed, or the Aluminum Post Cover For Glass when the channel must be reduced for suitable 1/4″ glass, acrylic, wire mesh, or aluminum sheet. The center reinforcement cavity accepts compatible 1-1/4″ × 1-1/4″ steel tubing. This allows the side post to be reinforced for a properly designed base-plate installation or other mounting condition that requires an internal steel member.
