Alternate Roots

C.J. Boyd's "Alternate Roots" is a live memory sketch of the meditative, expansive, and chamber-esque album "Aerial Roots". A notoriously nomadic performer, C.J. Boyd plays an average of 200 shows per year, masterfully orchestrating waves of bass loops coupled with Jazz-driven improvisational prowess.  "Alternate Roots" - recorded live on one fateful night in Boone, North Carolina - allows listeners a window into the subtle balance of improvisational and calculable arrangements weaved throughout the music of "Aerial Roots".
