ALPS Mountaineering Nomad RT 38 Internal Frame Backpack – Chili/Charcoal

The ALPS Mountaineering Nomad RT 38 is a roll-top internal frame backpack designed for hikers and backpackers who need one bag that can flex between a light overnight and a heavier multi-day haul. A roll-top closure lets you compress the pack down for short trips or open it up when you’re carrying more, and a large zippered opening on the main compartment means you’re not stuck fishing gear out through a narrow top-loader. Dual aluminum frame stays and an air-mesh suspension keep the load stable on your back and let air move through on a sweaty climb, while the pull-forward waist belt makes on-the-fly adjustments simple without stopping to rethread straps. Roll-top design expands pack volume from 34L to 42L, so the same pack works for a fast overnight or a longer trip with extra gear Lightweight 200D nylon double ripstop fabric resists tears and abrasion on the trail without adding unnecessary weight Dual aluminum frame stays support heavier loads and transfer weight to the hips instead of your shoulders Removable, padded waist belt with its own removable pockets keeps snacks and small essentials within reach Hydration compatible with ports on both sides plus a three-point reservoir attachment, so you can drink on the move from either strap Two stretch bottle pockets, extensive daisy chain webbing, and side compression straps give you extra room to lash on gear and cinch the load tight Load lifter straps and removable sternum straps fine-tune the fit so the pack rides close and doesn’t bounce Built-in rain cover stows in a zippered pocket on the bottom of the pack, ready to pull out the moment weather turns Fabric: 200D nylon double ripstop Capacity: 34 – 42L / 2,075 – 2,563 in³ Torso range: 14.5 – 17.5 in. Waist belt range: 25 – 44 in. Weight: 4 lbs. 6 oz. Colorway: Chili/Charcoal
