Vintage Frazada Area Rug-Cuzco

This one-of-a-kind handcrafted rug will look beautiful in any home or office space. It can be used as a rug, blanket,(Frazada), wall hanging or throw and it also makes a fantastic picnic blanket. Our rugs are made of 100% sheep wool and dyed with organic dyes. This wool has been spun on a drop spindle, before being handwoven with centuries of old traditional methods passed down through generations, using an Andean backstrap loom. Each piece is just under a meter wide so a signature feature of the rugs is the central seam that joins the two textile pieces. This is very skillfully integrated into the design, and is a stamp of authenticity. Each design is inspired by the makers natural surroundings. Andean Artisans have a very close relationship with nature beauty and simplicity of their cosmo vision is reflected in everything they do. This one is a lovely mix of orange, light green, beige with an intricate green olive scrolled border making it a beautiful addition to any room in your home or office. 100% Wool 55" wide x 55" long  Color variation and small imperfections are natural in handmade items.
