Alocasia 'Tiny Dancers' Elephant Ear

Alocasia 'Tiny Dancers' is a patented dwarf hybrid of Alocasia brisbanensis and Alocasia odora, bred specifically to be far smaller than either parent while producing more leaves. Each teardrop-shaped leaf sits on a long, delicate, satiny petiole, giving the whole plant a light, airy movement that regular elephant ears do not have. It stays stemless and compact at maturity, reaching roughly a foot and a half tall and a foot wide, so it fits comfortably on a windowsill or crowded plant shelf where a full-size Alocasia would not. It does not flower or set seed, which means every plant in circulation was grown from a division rather than from seed. 'Tiny Dancers' is a good pick if you love the look of an elephant ear but need something scaled down for a smaller space.
