Super Strength Almond FlavoringA typical 5-6 gallon batch uses 1-2 drams (0.125-0.25 oz), depending on the flavor and desired intensity. Add the flavor during kegging or bottling, starting with the lower amount and adjusting gradually to taste. Mix gently and sample before treating the entire batch. Flavor Profile and Beverage IdeasAlmond provides clean marzipan-like nuttiness with subtle cherry and vanilla notes. Use it in brown ale, porter, cream ale, mead, cider, or dessert wine. It can add bakery character without the heavier roast of walnut or pecan. Cherry, apricot, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and cinnamon complement it well.
