It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, healing, cleansing, and moisturizing properties that are beneficial for all types of hair. Honey is also a natural lightener that can add subtle highlights or slightly lift hair color. It is safe for all to use, but some hair types may benefit more than others, such as those with dry hair, brittle or damaged hair, and those with wavy and curly hair. Honey is an emollient that helps seal moisture in the hair, thereby keeping it smooth and conditioned, making hair shafts and hair strands strong and reducing breakage, which is often the cause for slower hair growth.
