Pleasantly fragrant, ground allspice resembles a peppery compound of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mace, but it’s none of these! This bold spice comes from small dried berries and is versatile with any dish.  Sweet and warm, Allspice tastes like cinnamon, clove and nutmeg ground together-a flavor that actually comes from the Jamaican pimento (the dried unripe fruit of Pimenta dioica).
