This kit bundles all available retrofit accessories for the 1-step model into a single package. Instead of ordering each piece separately, this kit gives your step stool handrails and casters all at once. A back rail is not part of the 1-step configuration since the single-step design does not require the same rear fall protection as taller models. The SPN-1-YL-AOK is a new addition to the step stool options lineup and ships with a 90-day limited warranty at an approximate weight of 25 lbs. This All Options Accessory Kit is made for facilities that already own a 1-step nestable poly step stool and want to add handrail support and rolling portability without replacing the whole unit. Features and Benefits The kit features a durable baked-in powder coated yellow finish that matches the safety yellow color of the base 1-step stool. This keeps the entire unit highly visible in busy work areas. Installation requires drilling holes in the SPN step stool to mount the add-on options. All the hardware needed for installation comes included in the kit, so no extra parts are required. The handrails provide support that helps workers stay balanced while stepping up or down. Even on a single-step unit, having a grip point makes a noticeable difference in stability — especially when workers are reaching overhead, carrying items, or working in tight spaces. The handrail height also allows the step stool to be pushed or pulled into position, which cuts down on bending and twisting during repositioning. The casters make it easy to roll the step stool between work zones, so workers do not have to lift and carry it each time they need to move it. The base 1-step nestable poly step stool supports a 500 lb. uniform capacity, and this accessory kit is built to work within that same range. The step measures 19-7/8 inches by 19-7/8 inches. Anti-slip tape on the step surface helps provide secure footing. By combining handrails and casters into one All Options Accessory Kit, facilities save time on ordering and get a complete upgrade in a single package. Applications The All Options Accessory Kit is a strong fit for any workplace that uses 1-step nestable poly step stools and wants to improve worker safety and mobility. Common environments include: Warehouses and distribution centers Stockrooms and retail backrooms Maintenance and repair areas Production and assembly floors Commercial kitchens and food service areas Hotels and hospitality facilities Municipal and government buildings Shipping and packaging areas Nestable poly step stools provide lightweight, high-visibility access for warehouses, stockrooms, maintenance areas, production floors, retail backrooms, and commercial workspaces. Adding this accessory kit upgrades an existing 1-step stool so workers have handrails for balance and casters for easy movement between locations. This is especially helpful in settings where step stools are shared between teams or moved frequently during shifts. The All Options Accessory Kit lets a facility keep its current step stools in service while still making meaningful safety and productivity improvements. Selection Assistance Barron Equipment and Overhead Door offers guidance to help customers choose the right step stool accessory for their setup. This All Options Accessory Kit is designed only for 1-step nestable poly step stool models in the SPN series. It is not compatible with 2-step or 3-step models, which each have their own version of the kit (SPN-2-YL-AOK and SPN-3-YL-AOK). The 2-step and 3-step AOK kits also include a back rail, which is not part of the 1-step configuration. Facilities that want only one type of upgrade can also choose from individual retrofit kits. A handrail kit (SPN-1-YL-HR-RF) and caster portability kit (SPN-1-PO-RF) are each sold separately for the 1-step model. The All Options Accessory Kit combines both into one package for convenience and value. If your needs are more specific, those standalone kits may be a better fit. Customers can reach out through the website to compare options, confirm compatibility, or get help choosing the right accessory kit for their step stools.
