Alhambra 9P Cedar Classical Guitar

The Alhambra 9P Classical Guitar features very well-balanced projection of treble and bass strings, and is also designed for comfort and optimal playability. Handmade in Spain, this instrument is available in both spruce and cedar. (Click here to hear the pronunciation of "Alhambra".)  The 9P is basically identical to the 8P other than it's body depth is 5mm greater, has a different rosette, and the 9P features the ErgoNeck. "Julia Florida" by Agustin Barrios (Guitarist: Brad Earnhardt) ©XGuitars Inc. But richness is not the only thing:  The action is also just perfect: high enough to make the guitar sing but extremely comfortable.  The sound projection is amazing. Basses, mediums and trebles are very well-balanced. You have a full control of the voices and can emphasize whatever voice you want without any struggle, therefore you become the conductor and have a complete orchestra under your fingers. The Alhambra 9P features Alhambra's ErgoNeck. The ErgoNeck is the result of the continuous research developed by Alhambra Manufactures to improve the ergonomics of the neck. Thus, we can favor the position of the left hand. Due to its asymmetric shape, the ErgoNeck can be adapted in a more natural way to the guitarist.  (See illustration above.) These strings provide great volume and resonance.  Being Carbon, they are a bit thinner in diameter than nylon strings. The tone is brighter and not as mellow as nylon strings. If you want a softer sound, nylon may suit you better. Nylon: For nylon strings, I really like Savarez Corum New Cristal set 500CJ strings.  They provide a nice round tone, good volume, and a comfortable feel. If you would like to have strings installed other than the ones that come with your guitar, you can add the Strings Installation Service to your order. -Geoff Ferdón, owner of XGuitars Philippe Bertaud presents the Alhambra 9P: (Since this video was made, Alhambra has introduced aesthetic changes to this model as shown in the photos on this page.)
