It features white ebony (also known as pale moon ebony) for the back, sides, fingerboard, and bindings — an exotic tonewood with dramatic natural grain patterns of light and dark contrasts. Because the figuring varies from tree to tree, no two of these guitars look the same. Each one has its own visual character, making the 6 Ebony Blanco a striking instrument on stage or in a studio. Solid A++ Cedar Top with Fan Bracing The soundboard is built from solid A++ grade cedar, one of the higher wood grades in the Alhambra lineup. Cedar is valued in classical guitar construction for its warm, immediate tonal response — it speaks quickly under the fingers and produces a round, full fundamental. Alhambra pairs this top with their seven-bar fan bracing pattern, which provides stable vibration across the soundboard and contributes to the guitar's structural integrity over time. The result is a sound with clear note separation, defined bass, and singing trebles that work well for classical repertoire and adapt easily to other fingerstyle genres. Concert-Level Playability The 6 Ebony Blanco is built on a full concert-width body with a 650mm scale length and a 52mm nut width — standard classical guitar dimensions that accommodate proper left-hand technique. The neck is African mahogany (samanguila) reinforced with an internal ebony strip for long-term stability and resistance to warping. The white ebony fingerboard offers a smooth, dense playing surface, and the gold-plated tuning machines provide reliable, precise tuning. Traditional Spanish heel neck construction joins the neck directly to the body for solid energy transfer and structural integrity. Where the 6 Ebony Blanco Fits in the Alhambra Lineup Alhambra positions the Model 6 series as a step up from their student-level instruments (Models 1C through 5P) and a gateway into their conservatory and concert range. The Ebony Blanco variant gives players the tonal qualities and construction standards of the Model 6 platform with the added visual distinction of white ebony. It's a good fit for advancing students, serious hobbyists, and gigging musicians who want a handmade Spanish classical guitar with an exotic look at a mid-range price point.
