A Spectacular Design that does not go unnoticed ----------------------------------------- The Black Satin CT EZ's satin black finish is not only aesthetically stunning, but also allows the wood to breathe, improving resonance and sustain. Premium woods have been used in its handcrafted construction to provide a warm and rich resonance, essential for clear and enveloping sound projection. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TOP: Solid Cedar Back & Sides: Sapelli Neck: African Mahogany Fingerboard: Rosewood Tuning Machines: Nickel-plated Electronics: EZ Fishman Classic II Strings Installed: D'Addario XTC44 Strings (Extra Hard Tension) Alhambra Basic Gig Bag included Made in Spain Alhambra Black Satin CT EZ — A Thin-Body Electro-Classical Guitar Made in Spain The Alhambra Black Satin CT EZ is a handmade Spanish classical guitar designed for players who want nylon-string tone with modern comfort and amplification. The "CT" designation indicates a thin body profile with a venetian cutaway, making this guitar feel familiar and comfortable for acoustic and electric guitarists exploring the classical and flamenco world for the first time — or for experienced nylon-string players who need a stage-ready instrument with a slimmer profile. Solid Cedar Top with Open-Pore Black Satin Finish The Black Satin CT EZ features a solid cedar soundboard paired with sapelli back and sides. Cedar is prized in classical guitar construction for its warm, immediate response — it speaks easily under the fingers and produces a rich fundamental tone that rewards both fingerstyle and strummed playing. The open-pore black satin finish is more than an aesthetic choice. By leaving the wood's pores unsealed rather than coating them in thick lacquer, this finish allows the top to resonate more freely, contributing to greater volume and projection for a guitar in this price range. Built-In Fishman Classic II Preamp with Tuner The onboard Fishman Classic II preamp makes the Black Satin CT EZ a practical choice for live performance and recording. The system includes an under-saddle pickup, EQ controls, and a built-in chromatic tuner — everything you need to plug in and play through an amplifier or PA system. Whether you're performing at a gig, playing with a band, or recording at home, the Fishman electronics deliver a clear, natural amplified tone without requiring an external microphone setup. Spanish Construction and Comfort Like all Alhambra guitars, the Black Satin CT EZ is built in Muro de Alcoy, Spain, using traditional Spanish heel neck construction. The African mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a smooth, comfortable playing surface across the full range of the fretboard. The cutaway grants easy access to the upper frets — an important feature for players who use the full register of the guitar in solo and ensemble settings. The thin body depth reduces the reach required to hold the instrument, which is a meaningful advantage for smaller players or anyone accustomed to the profile of a steel-string or electric guitar. Professional Setup and Inspection by XGuitars Every guitar sold through XGuitars receives a hands-on professional setup and thorough 19-point inspection. Owner Geoff Ferdón personally inspects and sets up each instrument, adjusting action height at the nut and saddle, checking intonation, neck relief, fret ends, tuning machines, and overall finish quality. All instruments are stored in a climate-controlled environment at proper humidity and temperature to protect against hidden damage.
