They still use some old machines that are decades old, with some even over 100 years old, to preserve the beautiful traditional details seen in the good old days. It's important to note that due to the handmade process, some minor imperfections may occur because the shoes are not bench-made using high-tech modern machines with such high precision. These imperfections are part of the unique character of the shoes and should not be seen as flaws. Just like our feet, no two shoes are exactly the same or perfect. If you have any concerns about quality control, we're more than happy to provide pictures before you make a purchase. We want to ensure that you're completely satisfied with your Alden shoes.
