White Albacore Tuna

Let us introduce you to Cap'n Jack's Oregon Seafood! Jack is a generational fisherman. He grew up learning from, and fishing with his father. He offers his spectacular Albacore Tuna, canned, as well as smoked tuna and smoked salmon and you can now order it right from our website since Jack spends most of his time on the water, catching fish, and pretty much no time on social media or websites (he doesn't have one!). Cap'n Jack's Albacore Tuna is sustainably troll-caught out of the waters of the Pacific Northwest. It is tested for mercury by the Oregon Tuna commission and is touted as being some of the safest tuna available because the troll-caught Albacore that Cap'n Jack catches is younger and smaller than the fish that the "big guys" fish for in deeper waters; and comes in considerably lower in parts per million of mercury at an average of o.14 (ppm) compared to the USDA limit of 1.00 (ppm)!    Another great thing about Cap'n Jack's tuna and salmon products is in the processing and canning practices they use. Cap'n Jack's catch is bled, cold bathed and kept on ice as soon as they are caught, then hand filleted when they are offloaded at Chuck's Seafood in Charleston, Oregon, a local, family-owned cannery started in 1953 as a retail fish market, smokehouse and cannery, serving local seafood aficionados as well as sport and commercial fisherman. Every can comes packed with whole pieces of fish fillets (not mashed up scraps like many big company's use) and sea salt- that's it! Nothin' fishy about Cap'n Jack's Oregon Seafood! From sea to boat to your pantry!
