So what exactly is golden hour?  Golden hour is just after sunrise and just before sunset when the sun is at a low angle, and the sun casts red and gold tones as it’s closer to the horizon, creating the beautiful golden light.   Golden hour is a prime time for photography because of the gorgeous lighting!  It’s usually about an hour-long, and since it happens twice a day, you have some prime time for photography.
