As a combination adjustable hydrant wrench, this product lets firefighters use a single tool for various hydrant types and sizes. Rather than carrying multiple wrenches for different needs, having an adjustable tool is significantly more convenient.  Corrosion Resistance This adjustable fire hydrant wrench is also ideal for firefighting because it's plated for corrosion resistance. Corrosion-resistant plating increases the durability of a tool, in turn prolonging the life span of the tool.  Corrosion resistance is crucial in an industry like firefighting. As a firefighter, you regularly encounter harsh conditions and materials that cause significant wear and tear on your gear over time. Your hydrant wrench will likely get wet when opening and closing hydrants, which will corrode metal tools without proper plating. Corrosion-resistant plating helps prevent such damage. Product Description Akron Brass wrenches are designed to prevent hydrant nut damage, which is beneficial when working under time restraints and high-pressure situations. Additionally, spanner wrenches offer increased convenience for firefighters, saving you time and frustration looking for the right size wrench. You can quickly adjust the spanner wrench to the necessary nut size. You'll also save storage space without having multiple wrench sizes on the truck.  You can also purchase replaceable brass inserts (Part# 104718) for this wrench, increasing the usability and life span of the tool.
