Abteilung 502 Aircraft Effects Set

Abteilung 502 Aircraft Effects Set is a carefully selected collection of high-quality oil paints designed specifically for weathering and enhancing aircraft models. The set includes a range of tones ideal for creating panel line depth, subtle streaking, fuel and oil stains, exhaust effects, and realistic surface fading. The smooth, fine-pigment oil formula allows for precise blending and extended working time, making it easy to achieve soft transitions and controlled weathering. The colors are chosen to replicate common operational wear seen on both modern and WWII aircraft, including grime accumulation, hydraulic stains, and sun-faded paint. These oil paints can be applied over properly cured acrylic or lacquer finishes and blended with odorless thinner to create filters, washes, and streaking effects. The Aircraft Effects Set is suitable for all scales and works especially well on 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 aircraft models where subtle, realistic weathering is key.
