AJR LOCKING WATERFORD KIMBERWICK

Light, refined, and thoughtfully engineered, the Locking Waterford Kimberwick bit offers the trusted flexibility of a Waterford mouthpiece without the usual risks of pinching or palate pressure. Its innovative locking mechanism limits movement to a forward and backward motion only, making it an excellent option for low-palate horses. By removing vertical play, this “pinchless” design helps avoid any unpleasant pinching or collapsing that can occur in standard Waterfords. The locking mechanism enhances contact by focusing the mouthpiece’s action for precise communication. The Kimberwick’s slotted cheekpiece provides riders with optional rein positioning to adjust the degree of leverage and curb chain action. This design promotes a balanced distribution of pressure between the mouth, poll, and chin groove.  With its unique combination of flexibility, control, and adjustability, the Locking Waterford Kimberwick is ideal for riders seeking a kinder bit that accommodates both stronger and more sensitive horses—delivering refined performance without sacrificing comfort.
