85 Days to Maturity. Certified Organic. These peppers have a bright heat that mellows quickly to a pleasant warmth. Large plants with a bounty of red peppers beautifully suspended. Transplant. Sow indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost date. Plant out after threat of frost has passed. Plants can reach 3' height and may require support. Prefers slightly lower fertility - too much N causes blossom drop. Seed Source Information: Lot # CE-OG-1265-2024 grown by Cody Egan in Decorah, IA in 2024. Certified Organic. Germination tested at 85% in February 2026. These peppers came from an accession from Seed Savers Exchange that had no accompanying information. We named it in honor of our friend and investor, Hawthorn McCracken - our witchiest friend!
