AIM NA2 Ethernet

AIM NA2 Ethernet AIM Electronics has been building enterprise-grade network infrastructure since 1983. Universal Studios Japan, Kansai Airport, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone — these are their installations. The NA2 is where that expertise enters the listening room at an accessible price. The Construction A high-spec aluminum shield combined with high-density copper braid — the same dual-layer approach found throughout the AIM audiophile range. The cross-frame internal structure maintains consistent geometry along the cable's length, preventing the conductor deformation and impedance irregularities that affect cheaper cables. High-purity OFC conductors throughout. What distinguishes the NA2 from generic audiophile Ethernet cables isn't the spec sheet — it's the manufacturing discipline behind it. AIM builds to telecom tolerances, not audio marketing tolerances. The difference is audible in resolving systems. Where It Fits The NA2 is the right choice for listeners who want meaningful improvement over generic Cat5 or Cat6 without committing to the upper tiers of the AIM range. It's also the obvious candidate when you need to upgrade multiple links in your network path — the pricing makes running NA2 from router to switch to streamer a realistic project. Press Recognition The AIM Ethernet lineup has been reviewed by hi-fi+ (Alan Sircom covered the NA9 specifically) and discussed extensively on AudiophileStyle and What's Best Forum. The NA2 is referenced in those reviews as the foundation of the range.
